HANCEVILLE, Ala. (May 2, 2017) — The American Proteins Hanceville Division Fleet Department recently received three awards from the
Alabama Trucking Association (ATA).
Keith Allred was named Maintenance Professional of the Year, Tim Flack was selected Driver of the Year First Runner-up, and the company received a drivers’ safety award at the ATA’s Safety & Maintenance Management Council during the group’s Alabama Fleet Safety Awards Banquet.
Candidates are nominated by ATA members, and an independent panel of judges composed of troopers from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Motor Carrier Safety Unit ranked and chose winners.
The ATA honored American Proteins for its drivers’ safety record. The company was awarded first place for Private Carrier over 5 Million Miles (this includes miles driven by the Cuthbert Fleet in Alabama). American Proteins maintained the safest accident frequency rate for miles driven within the state of Alabama during 2016.
